Dependent on license designation (PM2 or PM3) the petroleum mechanic provides environmentally sound and safe installation, removal, testing and repair of underground, aboveground petroleum equipment and systems.
All duties related to the installation, repair, and removal of aboveground and underground petroleum equipment and construction of petroleum facilities
All duties related to the installation and removal of generator equipment, including either the relevant natural gas or diesel fuel system
Service and maintain petroleum equipment, systems, and accessories essential to their operation
Assist in the accomplishment of site/project goals
Report on job progress
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism when dealing with contractors and clients
Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner
Maintaining work standards, safety practices and behavioural expectations to ensure team confidence and productivity

High school diploma or equivalent
TSSA certified Petroleum Mechanic with either or all the following PMH, PM1, PM2, and/or PM3
Technical and mechanical aptitude
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditions
Ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift items weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
Ability to work with others in a team
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Must be willing to learn and be open to completing required safety training, or industry standard training to maintain and advance knowledge
Experience in construction, industrial and/or petroleum industry is required
Pipe fitting or plumbing an asset
Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract

All duties related to the installation and removal of generator equipment, including either the relevant natural gas or diesel fuel system under the direction of the Site Supervisor and/or license holder

Following work standards, safety practices and behavioural expectations to ensure team confidence and productivity
General site maintenance including sweeping, properly disposing material, and keeping equipment and tools neat and organized
Material handling, loading and unloading work vehicles
